Our Agents
Jared B Marcengill, Principal Agent / Owner - You can say that Jared is deeply rooted in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Born and raised in Oconee County, Jared graduated high school from Seneca Senior High in 1995, and later from Southern Wesleyan University in 1999, located in neighboring Pickens County. Jared began his insurance career in 1996, while in college, working for his father, Danny, at his insurance agency also located in Seneca, SC. Jared started out as a clerk/janitor and later as a licensed producer. While working for his father, Jared learned the insurance trade and how to manage employees, but more importantly, Jared learned about people. "I feel that working for my Dad in his office was more valuable than any education I ever received in a classroom. I was thrown into the fire from day one." In the fall of 2001, with the blessing of his Father, Jared decided that it was time to open a new office, with the same principles he had been taught, that could offer more choices for the people. In December 2001, JB Marcengill Insurance was born!

-Jared spent 9 years as an enlisted member of the SC Army National Guard (1995-2004), Honorable Discharge
-Jared is a member of the Westminster Masonic Lodge #200
-Jared is a member of Golden Corner Church, Walhalla, SC
-Jared is married to his beautiful wife Keri "Penton" Marcengill of Walhalla, SC, and they have two gorgeous daughters, Emma (18) and Mattie (15).
